Shikazurui Nara {Finished}

Shikazurui has a single minded track. How he can do this task with as little work as possible. Even so, he is perfectly able to perform mission with expertise. He often perferes brain over brawn, because a well thought plan can do more than brute strength alone. More so than less, he can outsmart Jounin ranked shinobi, and has carried out leadership roles where he didn't even want it. Being a relatively lazy individual, he has time to formulate strategies and practice his skills, as well as prepare himself well for up coming missions. He hates working with shinobi who believe they are the best. He cannot stand them, yet he finds himself filling in leader roles for genin when their jounin-sensei are out doing high ranking missions. Shikazurui knows where his loyalties lie, and always keeps a close eye on teammates when on diffiult missions, because he refuses to jeoprodize an important mission.

The Nara clan (奈良一族, Nara Ichizoku) or Nara family (奈良家, Nara-ke) is known for their manipulation of shadows and tending of deer, which graze in a large area of Nara clan forest. They have kept a book with medicine preparations and effects for generations which imply they are skilled in the area of medicine. Among the medicine described in this book are the secret pills used by the Akimichi clan.

Despite being considered geniuses, the men from this family are prone to being lazy and hard to motivate. Ironically, they tend to be attracted to stern, overbearing women. However, there appear to be other factors as well. The Nara men seem to hold women in high esteem, and as a result, willingly defer to their female partners. Shikaku Nara tells his son "Without women, men can't be born. Without women, men go to ruin. Even the hardest of women will show a sweet side to the man she loves and respects."

The Nara clan seems to have a special relationship with the Akimichi clan and Yamanaka clan. For at least two generations, members of these three families have formed an "Ino-Shika-Chō trio", named after the first part of the names of the members. The Nara members are the "Shika" in the trio. "Ino", "Shika" and "Chō" are the names of three cards needed for a highly prized trick of "Inoshikachō" in the Hanafuda.

The Shadow Imitation Technique allows the user to extend their shadow for as far as it has sufficient area. Once it comes into contact with a target's shadow, the two merge and the target is forced to imitate the user's movements. Therefore, the two can throw shuriken at each other at the same time if the user desires that (of course, to prevent hurting themselves, the user just has to have the shuriken holster in a place where you don't normally have it, like the back, so that the opponent draws nothing when the user draws a shuriken). If the target is out of range, the user can produce a better light source to increase their shadow's size or rely on preexisting shadows for their shadow to freely travel through. It's also possible to split one's shadow, either to trap more opponents at once, or to create a distraction.

The major downside of the Shadow Imitation is that it is tiring to use repeatedly; Hidan notes that the ability is subject to some form of diminishing return and decreases in potency after repeated use (Shikamaru can only maintain it for 5 minutes per use). If the user is low on chakra, the performance rate of the technique also deteriorates. Insufficient lighting will make the technique less effective. A particularly strong opponent can also resist the shadow's forced imitation.

Shikazurui was born to a skilled shinobi long before the Great War he fights in. His father, was a lazy but brillant man who married a very stern women, who had a sweet side. Shikazurui could hardly recall what his mother looked like, because she had been killed because his father had become a target for bounty hunters. Shikazurui, after that, Shikaruri always carried the fact that anyone could die at any moment. As he began to grow, he played games with other younger children, but was mainly less active because he adopted his father's attitude of being lazy and hard to motivate.

As he matured, he realised his true friends were from fellow clans, the Akimichi and Yaminaki clans respectively. He began hanging out with a boy from the Akimichi, and later a Yaminaki girl joined them as well. The three acted respectively to each other and their clans, and almost always hung out. Shikazurui had a crush on the girl, Inoki. Inoki often tried to motivate Shikazurui and Chojirou into doing things she wanted to do. Shikazurui always gave her a hard time about how he was lazy, and Chojirou often looked at her before eating something.

Eventually, all three friends entered the Academy, Shikazurui proving to be a constant downer when it came to doing any kind of work, but often did his work when Inoki pressured him into doing it. Chojirou often needed help with his written marks, and Shikazurui actually did work at that point. Inoki was surprised and often asked him why he helped Chojirou and not her. He'd always reply that she wasn't being persausive enough. Then she'd fume at him for being a lazy know-it-all.

Eventually, Shikazurui, Inoki and Chojirou graduated, and become a solid genin team. Before having their actually Jounin-Sensei, there were shortly trained for one day by Satoru Uchiha, someone who would become a future Hokage. Shikazurui's entire look on how he would become as a Shinobi. Shikazurui took heart into what he learned from Satoru, and voed, in secrecy, he would one day follow that man to bring peace to the world. Inoki and Chojirou disliked him, but either way their actually sensei rubbed off on Shikazurui, as he began a habit of smoking after on fateful mission where he was gravely injured while protecting Inoki and Chojirou from a rogue ninja. He still carries the scars from the attack, but managed to move on.

Eventually, the team became the most well-known team, and Shikazurui was encouraged to actually try in the Chunnin Exams. He kept his Team Alive until the Preliminaries, when both Inoki, (Who was killed by a Sound Ninja), and Chojorou, (who was killed by a Cloud Ninja). Shikazurui was devastated by this, but was still encouraged to continue on. He fought against the Sound Ninja, would proved little effort against a grieving Shikazurui. He took rage against the poor ninja, whom he twisted the image of a human body into bits of skin and organs. Many in the audiance were shocked by this display, but the old Hokage laughed at the display.

Shikazurui, after calming down, was forced to fight the Cloud Ninja that killed Chojirou. But unfortunately, before the battle got interresting, Shikazurui gave up, and then proceeded to the Hokage, who was assasinated as he reached her. Afterwards marked the beggining of a war, Shikazurui's Chunnin rank, and his more lazy days.
